Innerdalen experience

Innerdalen is known for its beauty, and by many also called the most beautiful valley in Norway. Well known for trekkers and climbers for 100 years. Some of the first climbing courses in Norway was held there.

Innerdalen has been in my neighborhood since I was a child, but wonder why I have not been there more. Other valleys and areas has been chosen instead.

However, during the Fall three trips has been done to this valley, and even got a new summit on the list. Never been on to Skarfjellet (1790m). Been on all around but not the most famous one. First visit this Fall was with Merete and looking for some good photo motives which is not difficult in this valley. Next trip I was hoping and aiming for Tårnfjellet, which lays behind the Innerdalstårnet.

Just been there one time before and I knew it was some difficulties up there, and I was stopped by ice at the very top. Anyway, I wanted to fly and was lucky with the wind from south which was pushing easterly up the gully towards me. And got a very nice flight in front of Tårnet. Some strong turbulence hit me on the northern side more or less expected. Last visit, Skarfjellet was on my mind. Never been there, and this beautiful day became the SKARFJELLDAY. A perfect day going up, and took a chance on a route up, and did not like it. Luckily I did not have to go down again, and had my longest flight so fare. Turbulence around the northern wall of the mountain, however the whole trip is a good memory. 2015-10-14 13.19.56
