The ambition for the day was Innerdalen, and to ascend Skarfjellet. By “faith” the local ferry had a breakdown that morning, and I had to change plan quickly. Looking for a immediate new goal on the right side of the fjord, Grinaren mountain in Todalen was chosen.
View towards Skjerdingfjellet and Todalen
10 years since I had been up there, and I had seen, and thought of a nice line for a flight down to Kaarvatn farm. Had a good nice walk up and noticed an area which always had been covered with thick snow and ice. This Fall there was just rock.
The only flower on the whole trip, and in strong contrast to everything else.
The weather was changing and some windy fronts came in, and experienced the first snow this season. Searched for a good exit point and waited for the right wind. And I could enjoy a nice ride down toward Kårvatn farm and happy landing.
An attempt, but not the right place for take off. Further up.
